It is characteristic of the robinia that the wood block has rustic form and full of bands and knurs. Under the thick, 0.5-1 cm, bark there is the hard sapwood which is tend to be black and to have fungus. Because of the conservation of permanency and aesthetics we have to remove it from the pole.
Elaboration
We remove the sapwood together with the bark of the robinia pole with milling. The surface and the ends of the pole are polished and the edges of it are broken. We put them with the required size in the stock.

It is measured according to the Fagosz cubing book, over the top diameter, by a Pi band.

Forms of sapwood-free pole:
- Normal: general working
- Extra-long: over 6m length sapwood-free poles are here
- Cut into two: poles are cut into two lengthwise and polished every sides and edges
- Ramose (Y): during the logging we let the bench of the suitable logs and we mill and polish it.
- Sharpen: the thicker ends of the poles are sharpen with a saw
- Palisades: the poles are milled to standard cylindrical
